What makes Dell Laptops the Best Choice?

No one can argue that Dell is indeed one of the most recognized brands in the market when it comes to computers. They became pretty much of a household name particularly for their desktop and laptop computers. This is due to the heavy advertising, but of course, aside from that, this is greatly because of their high quality products.
One of the great examples of Dell laptops is the Dell Inspiron 6000. This model was released a few years back and is considered an old version and is not as competitive as what they have previously released, but this model can be a very good example of how good the quality is of their laptops. This is the reason why many people sticks to the same old model up to this day. This model was packed with a really nice punch when it was first released as it features a Sonoma chipset which was the latest processor from Intel at that time. The Sonoma chipset was especially designed for laptops alone. The Dell Inspiron 6000 had a great battery life, a wireless connectivity and a decent multimedia capability which is already a given feature today in most laptops.
Dell makes it sure that the laptops they produce are equipped with high quality features to ensure the consumers of a seamless operation. They also proposed a long list of available options to be able to customize the laptop any way the consumer want it. It is a standard for most laptops nowadays to have an internal wireless internet card to have the ability to connect where there is a Wi-Fi spot and Dell is one of the first companies to incorporate this feature into their products. Other connectivity options available on laptops from Dell include a Firewire port, an IEEE 1394 port, USB ports and an S-Video port. Some of their laptops feature a Secure Digital Memory card slot as well.
Dell laptops have definitely changed the way people viewed these kinds of devices. Before, most users look at laptops as a simple computing device that is of utmost help when it comes to paper works and minor communications such as emails and instant messaging. But with the advancement in technology, laptops enable people to communicate through calls and integrated webcams. The gaming platform has improved a lot as well. Aside from that, what makes Dell laptops one of the best is that, they are of high quality and yet it is very affordable and can best suit users from different classes or field.

Two Big Reasons Why You Should Get An iPad Screen Protector

Personally, owning an iPad screen protector is a pretty easy decision. If I purchase a piece of equipment with a price tag of $500 (and as high as $829!) I'm definitely going to make sure it's well protected. Not just to safeguard my investment but keeping in mind its an eye candy device which I'm going to spend a lot of time fiddling with apps on - I want it to be beautiful.
I'm thinking that by reading this article, you're already in the camp of those who already want an iPad screen protector but I'd like to dig further on a few key usability points for those who may still be undecided.
1. Fingerprints. Now that the iPad has been on the marketplace for a few calendar months, there's ample data that suggests the iPad is a fingerprint attractor. If you don't think I'm wrong, just search Google for "iPad fingerprints"!. While it is created with an oleophobic coating which is similar to the iPhone 4G series the simple size differential between the two in terms of the screen size makes the iPad much more prone to fingerprints. My computation has the iPad surface area dimensions at 6.9x larger than the iPhone. Think about all the touching you will be doing to zoom in and out, play with the over thousands of apps, or just navigate around. You DON'T want to be worrying about smudging. You'll end up needing as much or more for iPad wipes not to mention the annoyingness of cleaning, storing the cleaning materials and digging them again when you need to clean it again in a month. And if you've tried clearing fingerprints off with your paper towel.. well I'll let you try that but let's just say I've been there and it sucks. Save yourself the trouble and go for at least a front screen protector.
2. Glare. Let's be truthful with each other. We all love the iPad's glossy screen. Apple has done a great job of making the screen crisp, clear, and beautiful. But for all those who've never used Amazon's Kindle, the iPad user experience is still washed-up by glare. It might as well be an iCrap when the sun's involved - you know it's still an LCD screen after all. An anti-glare filter with its matte finish helps to diffuse the lighting so it's not reflected full-strength into your eyes. Check out the reviews we have if you're looking for the best one. A lot of the screen protectors nowadays also offer anti-glare and superior screen protection.
Those are two of the biggest user grievances I've gathered from my hunting on the topic and if you own an iPad you're well aware of the problem; which coincidentally is probably why you're reading this article.
So do you think it's worth protecting your $500+ investment? You bet. It's the same reason people have anti-virus software system or cover their trucks in the winter. It's all about peace of mind!

Interactive White Board - For a Better Learning Process

Interactive whiteboards are a type of display which is connected with a projector and computer. It is known as IWB also. The desktop of the computer is projected on the board's surface by the projector and the person uses a pen or other similar device to control the computer. Generally, the board is attached to the wall. The interactive white board has applications in classrooms, in corporate industry, broadcasting studios, rooms for training of sports and many other areas. The basic uses of the board are operation of software that is preloaded in the connected computer, to control the computer and some white boards come with a special facility so that the user can conduct polls or quiz and the feedback is stored on the board.
The interactive white board uses a USB or Bluetooth to connect itself to a computer. Driver software is loaded onto the connected computer. Then, any image is projected on the board's surface through the computer. If there is a requirement of text input, the user can use the on-screen keyboard or use the handwriting recognition. To make maximum use of the board, most of them are provided with software which includes various tools. Through this software, the user can create virtual flipcharts. Various options of using compass, protractor, scale, highlighter etc can be used. There are many types of interactive white boards. One of them is touch-based one. In such systems, simply a finger or a pointing device is used to control the projected material. In this, a special layer is expanded on the surface that deforms when any kind of pressure is applied thereby making contact with the back plate. The location of touch or point is then determined electronically. The touch is accounted as a mouse event. Another type is the pen-based interactive whiteboard that uses electromagnetism. It includes a collection of wires that are embedded behind the IWB. These wires, together with the coil present on the top of the stylus, determine its coordinates on the screen. When the stylus is pressed on the board, a switch is activated in the pen and a mouse click is signaled to the computer. This type of IWB is used by designers and digital artists. Besides being so advantageous, IWB has one major problem. The use of permanent markers can ruin the surface of the boards as it is made of melamine. Interactive whiteboards are available in two forms. One is called the front projection. It has a video projector placed in front of the board. The major disadvantage is that the user cannot stand in front of the screen as it will produce a shadow on the screen. The other form of IWB is the rear projection. Here, the projector is placed behind the screen. But, this is costlier than the front projection and they are larger in size.

How Can You Download Laptop Drivers?

Today, the laptops come in with bundled software and sometimes can be pretty hectic to manage.
Providers like HP will load the system with their software which you can fetch a lot of problems in the long run. This is because you will be allowed to take a single backup and after that it is all in your hard disk. Once the machine crashes you will need to restore the system and this is where the drivers come in. As long as you have the backups all is fine and dandy, but if by chance your backup disk is corrupted, what will you do?
Now, you have to look for the drivers, also if you want to shift to any other platform, you will need drivers for that specific operating system. Most popular companies will provide direct links for river download but there are others which are the matter of concern. Some companies do not provide proper client support and hence it is too difficult to look for the drivers on the web.
There are a particular set of guidelines which may be of some help. First things first, you should be specific about your model number and the desired operating system for which you want to download the drivers. Next go to the search page, provide the details and see the probable results. If you get any direct links relating the company go with that or else you have to be cautious about the authenticity of the site.
Many sites host malicious content that may hm your system, some may deliver you with spy-ware also.

iPad Applications

Apple, for the last ten years has been taking technology trends and making them successful like only they can. They quickly took the mp3 player market by storm with their iPods and of course, you were not cool unless you owned an iPhone. The idea of tablet pcs has been around since the early 60's and even the idea of an electronic stylus device for capturing handwriting was copyrighted in 1888. Despite the history behind the idea, the technology has never mainstreamed despite our cultures obsession with the next big gadget. This inevitably leads us to the Apple iPad, which was released on April 3 2010. Originally, there were only Wi-Fi enabled models quickly followed by the 3G + Wi-Fi ready on April 30 of that same month. With over 3 million sold in the first couple of months Apple has yet again entered the technology arena ready for a fight.
The iPad initially comes with the same default programs as the iPhone: Safari, Email, the App Store, an iPod mode for listening to songs, as well as a number of media centric apps like YouTube and iTunes. With over 200,000 apps in the App Store there seems to be no end to what you can find. With new apps released daily and the iPads ability to either use existing iPhone and iPod Touch apps this adds plenty of uses from business to pleasure and many in between. The iPad can load iPhone/iPod apps in their native resolution or double the size to fit the newer larger screen size. Simply by syncing your iPad with iTunes, you are able to port over all of your existing apps without any major problems. Some apps do not fully port over to the iPad but designers often release updated "HD" versions of their app exclusively for the iPad itself.
The iPad is reported by Apple to have up to 10 hours of continuous video playback, of course your mileage may vary. The battery itself is a lithium-ion polymer battery, which over time, like any battery, technology loses storage capacity. Along with the 3G and Wi-Fi ready models you also can choose the 16, 32, or 64GB models ranging anywhere from $500 to $829 US. If you are not afraid to spend an extra $100 US, you can get the 3G ready model, which at least in the US will need to be attached to the AT&T network. There are two plans that are offered currently, the lower plan costs $15 and supplies the user with 250MB. This will be sufficient for most considering you always have the choice to fall back on a Wi-Fi network when available. The other plan is slated to cost $25 and offer 2GB, which arguably for the price offers the better bang for the buck. This plan is good for jet setters and anyone that generally likes to get out and about while staying connected to the world.
The iPad and iPhone share similar development environments but currently only the iPhone and iPod Touch are on the newer iOS 4.0. 4.0 is scheduled to come out for the iPad late fourth quarter 2010 and will include such features as multi-tasking for simultaneous app use, folders so you can group your apps by category, and an updated unified email client for ease of use.
With the entry of the iPad in the tablet pc market Apple has brought another unique (although some would call it an over-sized iPod Touch) product featuring a combination of style and user friendliness that never seems to disappoint. It will be interesting to see where the iPad fits into the market a year or two down the road and what plans Apple has to further current hold on the mobile pc market.
